Lee Bruce, Head of Public Affairs and Stakeholder Engagement

Lee Bruce is responsible for the management of the LGA's public affairs work programme. Prior to joining the LGA, Lee worked in the charitable sector for the Woodland Trust covering the charity's parliamentary and stakeholder engagement in Westminster and Stormont.


Iredia Oboh, Public Affairs and Communications Manager

Iredia supports the LGA’s Chairman and Chief Executive with their speeches and communications with councils. Iredia joined the LGA in August 2018, having previously worked for the General Medical Council.


Jade Hall, Public Affairs and Campaigns Adviser

Jade is the LGA’s public affairs lead on community wellbeing, including adult social care, public health and mental health, and community safety, including licensing, counter-terrorism, domestic violence, and fire safety. Jade also leads on transport and air quality. Jade joined the LGA in October 2019, having previously worked for Alzheimer’s Society and ukactive.


Amy Fleming, Public Affairs and Campaigns Adviser

Amy is the LGA’s public affairs lead on devolution, economic growth, skills and employment, EU, housing and homelessness and the environment. She also supports the Devolution All-Party Parliamentary Group. Amy joined the LGA in April 2020, having previously worked for St Mungo’s.


Laura Johnson, Public Affairs and Campaigns Adviser

Laura is the LGA’s public affairs lead on local government finance issues including business rates and fair funding. Laura also leads on education, children’s social care and children’s mental health as well as our sector-led improvement work and innovation. Laura joined the LGA in April 2019, having previously worked for a political monitoring organisation.


Megan Edwards, Public Affairs Support Officer

Megan Edwards provides support across the public affairs team, leading on informing the LGA’s membership of its parliamentary activity, political monitoring and supporting in the delivery of key events in Parliament and with stakeholders. Megan also leads on digital, culture, tourism and sport; and inclusive growth, skills and jobs. Megan joined the LGA in January 2021, having previously worked for an MP.
